Description
Ancient Cities are massive underground structures introduced in the Wild Update. They're built primarily of Deepslate and contain various Sculk blocks. Each city has a central shrine with a Sculk Catalyst and may contain valuable loot in chests. These structures are particularly dangerous due to the presence of Sculk Sensors and the possibility of awakening the Warden. Cities appear randomly in Deep Dark biomes, usually one per region, making them rarer than most other structures.
How to Find
Ancient Cities are found deep underground in the Deep Dark biome, typically between Y levels -52 and -51. The easiest way to locate them is to dig down and listen for the unique sounds of Sculk blocks or Warden's heartbeat. Using Night Vision potions and being cautious of the Warden is recommended. The cities are massive and can be spotted on the map due to their distinctive architecture.
