Description

Ancient Debris is the rarest ore in Minecraft, found exclusively in the Nether. When smelted, it produces Netherite Scraps, which can be combined with gold ingots to create Netherite Ingots. These ingots are used to upgrade diamond gear to Netherite, the highest tier equipment in the game. The ore is unique in that it's resistant to lava and explosions, making TNT mining a viable strategy. It generates in small veins throughout the Nether's lower levels, deliberately placed away from open spaces and lava lakes to make it challenging to find.

How to Find

Ancient Debris generates in the Nether between Y-levels 8 and 119, with peak distribution at Y-level 15. It spawns in veins of 1-3 blocks and requires a diamond pickaxe or better to mine. Most efficient mining method is using beds or TNT at Y-15, as the explosions clear large areas and Ancient Debris is blast-resistant. Alternatively, strip mining at optimal Y-levels with a diamond pickaxe and fire resistance potions.
